It is quite difficult to interpret the Apocalypse. So this is an attempt to interpretate Revelation, after much prayer and asking God for enlightenment so that as few mistakes as possible are made. Some general observations to help you understand what is written in it:
Revelation is primarily a spiritual book, a guide to soul`s salvation just like the Gospels are. The difference is that this guide is written for the last times as well, while the Gospels to the times after God`s ascension.
The Apocalypse is a prophecy, which cannot fail to be fulfilled, since it has been given by God himself. It refers to God's plan and the final elimination of evil from this world.
It is written based of what Angels of the Lord and the Lord showed to John of Patmos in a symbolic way and to a small extent in a literal way. Since it is written this way, it needs to be decoded before we can understand what it really means. For example at one point he talks about a beast with seven heads. By reading it a man may be led astray into thinking that some seven-headed monster will appear and eat the world, while actually it refers to the power that the 'beast' will have over the rulers of this world.
