If you don`t want police, secret services to check on your inbox as well and your personal data to be sent to companies, it is wise to leave Google and get email from another provider. To delete Gmail from Google account, follow these steps:

1. Sign in to https://myaccount.google.com/

2. From top left menu click on 'Data and Personalization'

3. Click on 'Delete a service or your account'

4. Click on 'Delete service'

5. Click on 'Recycle Bin'

6. In order to sign into other Google services enter another email

7. Confirmation email has been sent to address that is entered at previous step

8. Sign in to email account that you have entered at step 6 and click on link that was sent by Gmail

9. Confirm that Gmail service and all e-mails will be deleted

10. Gmail has been deleted
